Resemblance
Commitment needs to be renewed once in a while and promise needs assurance from time to time just like silver needs a touch of hand to gain its sheen back after wearing. Because we're human.

my love, my darling. .
God gave me Danielle and He said that she would be my solace.
Yesterday night, we went grocery shopping and there were buckets of flowers on sale at the entrance. She picked up a bunch and insisted on buying it. She said, "Mommy's flower all withered so I need to buy new ones!" About a month ago, it was our 5th wedding anniversary and my husband bought a bouquet of red roses. I recently threw it out because the roses became black and old. I pulled out the bunch that Danielle put in the basket because I'd rather buy something useful with that money. I explained to her, "flowers are for special events, honey." Usually, she is very easy to talk to because she pretty much understands everything around her if I explain in proper words. But this time she wouldn't listen to my words and she put the flowers back in the basket. "No, mommy needs her flowers because her flowers all withered and we threw them out." I pulled them out and she put them back again. So I let the flowers to sit there for a while, thinking that I would persuade her out of it before the check out. We began our shopping, walked in the aisles putting things in our basket. And, every time she heard a hint of rustling sound of the paper that wrapped around the flowers, she immediately looked back with suspicion that her mommy was making a move to pull it out again. She made sure that the flowers were sitting there safely, positioning them correctly with her tiny wabbly hands. "I need them for mommy."
How sweet. . .
That's my story from yesterday.
Just now, father came and brought her to his house so that I could have some quiet time and work. In the drive way, sitting in her car seat, she repeatedly said "I love you, mommy" in English and "엄마 사랑해 (I love you, mommy)" in Korean, making heart shapes with her arms and fingers, blowing kisses, and then left.
I guess it's life.
Here are the flowers that she picked out for me.
Nothing fancy, a small bunch of Carnation.

In times
Sometimes when I get discouraged, I tend to lose all the perseverance, diligence and passion I had within me. When it happens, I no longer strive to fight the obstacles in the way and start to compromise. All the obstacles become the ultimate excuse why I cannot do this and that. I get moe sharp tempered and sensitive, on the top of the way I already am. These factors create great irritation and a burden on my husband and he runs out of his patience with me.
So I sit quietly in the basement, cooling down from the summer heat and try to find the reason why I am doing all these things I am doing right now. Trying to restore the original purpose in all and maybe to find a better one.
Some people say that the biggest advanture you can take is to live the life of your dreams. But I need to watch out what I dream of. It could be dangerous and regretful at the end if it was geared in vain. What I would find then will be nothingness. My dream should be directed towards life.
I need help.
I need instruction.
I need life.
Teach me again and fill me with your Spirit .

Life in North America
everybody pursuits different kinds of life styles
remember, life isn't perfect
men and their dogs
Marley & Me
. . .isn't fancy, just like John's last couple of lines at the end of the movie.
I just LOVE their house that never gets organized.
There are a few fantasizing elements here and there; however, the movie shows life in North America, conflicts that common people here struggle through and the ultimate value that we ought to strive for, lest forgotten.
It may seem too plain simple to some people but I know that the movie is not cheesy because those simple conflicts illustrated in the movie are the very present things that I go through still today and these are real struggles. They aren't light or cheap, but rather deep and somewhat destructive on life if not resolved in a correct manner.
So, in my very personal opinion, I recommend this movie about ten thousand times better and more over Black Swan (although, I am fond of Natalie Portman).

Educational Note
Many of BOiS pieces are created with genuine 925 sterling silver. Sterling Silver rings have been known to cause peoples fingers to turn green. It is a reaction with the copper content in Sterling Silver and caused by an individuals body chemistry. It is more often seen in people with very sweaty hands. Sterling Silver contains 92.5% Silver and 7.5% Copper. One of BOiS hallmark 925 stands for Sterling Silver. The "green finger effect" does not necessarily mean that the material is not pure Sterling Silver.
If a person has a natural high acidity level in his or her skin, it is possible for his or her finger to "turn green" from Sterling Silver jewellery, especially when the weather is hot and humid. It does not necessarily mean that the jewellery is plated or not pure. The green is actually caused by oxidation, and all silver will oxidize. It is the same reason Sterling Silver jewellery has a tarnished look. There are some cheap jewellery items that cause the same effect because many of them contain Nickel. As for Nickel, it is not poisonous in small quantities but it can provoke a reaction in people allergic to Nickel.
The "green finger effect" may also be an allergic reaction to alloy elements in Sterling Silver or Gold. In some cases, the alloys, used to make jewellery more durable, may react with your body chemistry, causing a harmless green or black discoloration on the skin. It can be easily removed with soap and water. For this reason, many Sterling Silver jewellery and White Gold jewellery is plated with Rhodium. Rhodium provides a defensive layer and prevents the reaction on allergic skins.
Other than allergic reasons; lotions, soap or chemicals that come into contact with your skin on an everyday basis may casuse the same reaction.
If you have this allergic reaction, I would recommend to buy rings which have been rhodium plated. Rhodium plating is durable and gives a bright silverish, platinum sheen look. I know that most of Swarovski jewellery items are Rhodium plated with base metal under. Another solution is to clean your Sterling Silver jewellery as often as possible with polishing cloth. After about a week or two, the reaction should stop occurring.
Another alternative to Sterling Silver jewellery is stainless steel jewelry. It is clean, modern, non-hypoallergenic, untarnishable, extremely strong, and comfortable.
As for BOiS, most of the pieces are created in genuine 925 Sterling Silver. They are hardly Rhodium plated, unless requested upon, because it gives me flexibility to play with different surface finishes. And, as some of you may know, Satin finish is my favourite finish which cannot be accomplished when plated.

Often I need a reminder,
Getaway
Peace of mind
Sometimes, I know it's good for me to just get away and submerge myself in the nature, even though the work I need to get away from is something I truly love to do. I guess it's the rule of thumb in life, at least for me. : ) So, I was determined, and forced in a way, to just shut my laptop, leave it where it is and run to the arms of the nature. And, it was goooooooood!
Remind me this golden rule if I forget it tomorrow.
